Number one asked question…My Favourite Treatment

Whilst I am performing my treatments, I enjoy some lovely conversations.

I love hearing all the interesting stories and about peoples lives, I find it all very fascinating and has probably been what has led me to writing also.

But you speak to any therapist or hairdresser about what they talk about most it’s either the weather (don’t we just love discussing it?), upcoming holidays planned or an upcoming event like say Christmas or Easter.

One of the questions I get asked after this polite chit-chat out the way is what is my favourite thing to do?

I always answer with I love it all, which I genuinely do, I feel I don’t work a day in my life as I love my job, it’s a hobbie and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Granted there are days when I really can’t be bothered but I have that with reading or watching TV too but once I’m out and in the treatment, I’m good and loving it again.

Usually a can’t be bothered day is when fore mentioned weather leaves a lot to be desired and I’m tempted to call ahead and ask my client can I arrive in trackies and a hoody or better yet my pjs if its an evening call.

All in all though I am blessed to do the job I do and I have such wonderful clients it makes it all the better.

Over the last couple of days I have realised, I love doing my Warm Manuka Honey Facial. I find it so therapeutic and the clients skin is glowing afterwards and they look so serene and relaxed after ward it makes it all worth while.

As I was writing this I received a text from a client who has recently had a Manuka Honey Facial, coincidence ay?

“Had to text you, my skin is lush today. Absolutely love the facial scrub. Thank you xxx”

I also love doing Reflexology on people for the first time, they look at me as you do a fortune teller when she gets your first pets name right. I particularly like it when I go for my second visit and I hear how the treatment has effected and improved whatever ailment may have shown up.

My all time favourite treatment to have personally is a Pedicure, I just love them, have done since college when I first ever had one. I’d always opt to treat rather than receive unless it was a Pedicure then I was on the bed like a shot, which is why I find doing pedicures so nice because I am sitting in envy at how amazing I know my clients feet are feeling when I’m done.

I feel very blessed to have such a rewarding and giving job and I would like to thank all my clients for your continued business and loyalty as it allows me to do what I adore every day.

Until next time,

Love and light,

Dani x

Dani’s Tone up Challenge

Ok so I have been a bi of a glutton over the summer…

Ice cream, alcohol, chocolate, crisps… fruit and veg seem a distance memory replaced by quick and easy meals including toast and my body is giving in and saying no more, please god no more…

My skin is breaking out, I’m feeling tired and run down so time for a change.

I am telling everyone about my marvellous crazy wraps and then not doing them myself so from Monday I will be practising what I preach.

I am going tee-total… that’s right no alcohol for the unforeseeable future, it has started giving me a headache after one glass so I’m done with that for now.

I’m cutting down on chocolate and crisps I won’t saying quitting totally as this will only lead to disaster 😉
.
I’m going to swap coffee for tea and gradually change to herbal teas.

Fruit will be the snack I will be bringing while I’m out on the road instead of a flap jack or a packet of crisps and when I am home for 45 minutes I will prep dinner rather than sitting on Candy crush with a cup of tea… yes I do that 🙂

I am going to do one It works wrap a week for 4 weeks and use defining gel every day and will post photos of my progress. http://danismassageandbeauty.myitworks.com/

A day in the life of Dani

When I sit and think about it my job description is a little risque…

I go in to peoples home at various times of the day, they strip down to their underwear and sometimes I can make them moan in pain or pleasure…

I treat men and women and usually the men are the biggest groaners…

I shall stop now because it is getting weird.

I am a mobile beauty therapist who travels around house to house offering massage, reflexology, facials, tanning, waxing, tinting, manis & pedis, ItWorks body wraps, Microdermabrasion and soon Reiki.

I have been told I have elbows and thumbs of steel after a massage and been called sadistic after a wax or a particularly tender session of Reflexology but I get called back for more .

My days are interesting. I get up and get ready have a breakfast (size varying on how long it will be before I can eat a sit down meal again, not snacking behind the wheel of my ford focus. I check my diary just to be sure I am going to the right place and have the right equipment in the car. If i@m leaving before 9 I will have Heart radio and Jagger and Woody on otherwise I hook my phone up and blast out some guilty pleasures.
A lovely blend of High Kings and Dolly Parton.

I arrive at peoples homes, generally on time and hoof out the equipment and get a little look into peoples personal lives. Meet their kids and respective other halves and pray to god I don’t break or spill anything in their homes. If said person is having multiple treatments it usually looks like I am moving in.

I try to keep my appointments as close together as possible for convenience for me and my clients so I don’t arrive wind blown and agitated from road rage from the semi retired who are unaware people are trying to get to work at 6 at night.

Between appointments I join my friend for lunch on the parrog, visit my grandad or come home with all good intentions of cleaning, doing paperwork or doing something mildly productive, it never happens 🙂

By the end of the day I am happy after the buzz of friendly conversation, the grateful expression of my pampered clients and absolutely knackered as I sit down to return calls, reply to text messages, facebook post and enquiries and eat the quickest and easiest meal to make as after a day of looking after everyone else I am just tooo tired to put any effort in to me.

But you know what I love it and starting up my little business was the best thing I have ever done.

Thank you all ❤
